IKON Model 10091 provides direct connection of any Multibus-basedworkstation system, or VMEbus workstation with Multibus adapter, to theNetwork Systems Corporation A-400 (HYPERchannel) or B-400 (HYPERbus)Adapters. Through this link, individual workstations or networks can beconnected to mainframes such as Cray, Amdahl, and IBM.8-, 16-, 20-, and 24-bit slave address decode (with inhibit capability)is provided on the board. Both non-bus-vectored interrupt and polledoperation are supported. Bipolar DMA control logic is used for maximumbus efficiency, and data transfer rates of up to 2 MB per second(including bus arbitration between each transfer) can be obtained. 24-bit linear address generation is provided for 16-MB address space. Otherswitch-selectable options available on the board include parallel orserial bus priority, CBRQ/drive, and either I/O or memory-mappedoperation.Model 10091 provides all of the capabilities of the 10077-NSC, and addsFIFO-buffered input for increased bus efficiency and up to double thetransfer rate of the 10077-NSC.
